Lee Sin: The League’s Fourth Most-Played Jungler Shows Second-Lowest Win Rate of 44.8 Percent

Lee Sin’s Win Rate Drops in Patch 12.10, But Still Popular in Solo Queue

League of Legends fans witnessed impressive Lee Sin plays during the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. However, solo queue players have been struggling with the classic champion due to Patch 12.10’s recent update.

According to U.GG, a popular solo queue stats aggregator, Lee Sin remains one of the most-played junglers among ranks above Platinum. However, his win rate at this rank is the second-worst in the game, sitting at an abysmal 44.8 percent. Only Ryze, who has consistently had the lowest win rate in League of Legends, has a lower win rate.

Lee Sin’s win rate has been steadily decreasing over the past five patches. It dropped from 47.5 percent in Patch 12.6 to 44.8 percent in Patch 12.10. In comparison to other junglers, Lee Sin struggles with a win rate of less than 46 percent against strong meta picks such as Wukong, Graves, Viego, Kindred, and Volibear.

As a playmaker who relies on his ultimate ability, Dragon’s Rage, to secure big picks, Lee Sin’s recent durability update has made his job more challenging. The reduced kill pressure means players need to adapt their playstyle and builds to favor extended teamfights. Instantly eliminating someone has become more difficult due to buffs to health, resistances, and damage.

However, in the professional scene, Lee Sin continues to see consistent play across most leagues. The champion even made appearances during the Mid-Season Invitational. For example, Royal Never Give Up’s jungler, Yan “Wei” Yang-wei, achieved a 66-percent win rate on Lee Sin and played a pivotal role in closing out a game-winning match against T1 with two kills and 11 assists.

With Lee Sin’s win rate declining rapidly, Riot Games may need to take action and apply buffs to this beloved blindfolded battle monk. Fans should keep a close eye on how his performance evolves as the player base adjusts to the new patch.
