LEC’s 2022 Spring Split All-Pro team announced, Fnatic’s Hylissang a widely chosen member

The LEC Announces All-Pro Teams for the 2022 Spring Split

The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) has unveiled the rosters for the league’s All-Pro teams following the conclusion of the 2022 Spring Split.

The first All-Pro team was determined by a panel comprising commentators, coaches, journalists, and other league-affiliated personnel. Five players secured their spots on the team, while two other teams were formed by the second and third-place finishers. The first All-Pro team features top-side pairing Odoamne and Malrang from Rogue, Vetheo from Misfits in the mid lane, and the bottom lane duo of Upset and Hylissang from Fnatic.

Among the selected players, Hylissang received the most first-place votes for his selection as Fnatic support. Out of the 53 participants, 51 voters on the panel picked him as the best support in Europe. However, Fnatic’s jungler Razork did not make it onto any of the All-Pro teams this split.

All five members of the Rogue team were recognized and selected to either the first, second, or the third All-Pro team. Odoamne and Malrang stood out in particular and contributed to the success of the first All-Pro squad. Additionally, three out of the five G2 Esports members were voted into the All-Pro teams. Broken Blade and Jankos made it onto the second All-Pro team, while Targamas secured a spot on the third team as a support.

This split was notable as it marked the first time since 2016 that no member of G2 was selected for the first All-Pro team, according to Riot. Furthermore, G2 mid laner Caps didn’t make it onto any of the three All-Pro squads for the first time in his career.

The only player from a non-playoff-qualifying team to earn a spot on an All-Pro team was Elyoya, the jungler for MAD Lions, who was voted onto the third All-Pro team.

Upcoming Awards and Playoffs

The LEC has also announced that several more awards will be revealed in the coming weeks, including the Spring Split MVP, Rookie of the Split, and Coaching Staff of the Split. The 2022 LEC Spring Split playoffs will kick off on March 25, with top-seeded Rogue facing Misfits in the first match.
