LEC Sensation Averages Almost 1,000 Damage per Minute to Champions in 2023 Summer Split

AD Carries Reign Supreme in League of Legends Meta

In today’s League of Legends meta, AD carries are emerging as one of the most crucial roles in the game. Their exceptional mechanical skill and high damage numbers make them formidable forces in the mid-to-late game.

A shining example of this dominance comes from Europe’s LEC, where one of the league’s top players has achieved an astounding damage stat against champions. Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, the superstar marksman for MAD Lions, has consistently averaged a staggering 910 damage to champions per minute in the first nine games of the 2023 LEC Summer Split. According to Oracle’s Elixir, he also leads the league with 37.3% of his team’s total damage and is among the select few players with an objective steal.

Carzzy’s exceptional performances have been instrumental in MAD Lions’ journey to the group stage. His contributions have helped keep the organization in the running for the next round, especially after finishing just one game ahead of Astralis, who unfortunately missed out on advancing to the groups.

Given the inconsistencies in his team’s performance since their LEC championship win last season, Carzzy has taken on additional responsibilities. On the other hand, Nisqy, the mid laner known for his roaming utility playstyle, has struggled. He ended the season with the most deaths in his role and a relatively low 65.5% kill participation. Unfortunately, the current meta hasn’t allowed Nisqy to shine with his preferred champions.

As MAD Lions prepares for the upcoming group stage, which starts on Saturday, July 15, they will be facing off against Excel Esports in the first round. Excel Esports has been a surprising team this season, finishing in third place with a 5-4 record. Nevertheless, MAD’s roster boasts plenty of experience in high-pressure situations.
