An Uploading Mistake Reveals Akali’s Update Ahead of Official Reveal
Akali’s highly anticipated update, including her new look and abilities, has been leaked to the public, thanks to a slip-up from League of Legends YouTube personality, Professor Akali. The leaked video, which showcased her new abilities, was meant to remain unlisted but became visible to anyone when it was added to a playlist. Although the video has been removed, Professor Akali has apologized to the Akali Reddit community and Riot Games for the error.
Riot Games has accepted the apology, describing it as an “honest mistake.” As a result of the leak, everyone now knows about Akali’s full kit earlier than expected. To address this, Riot has released her official teaser trailer. Additionally, the original artist’s ArtStation profile has revealed Akali’s base artwork and full list of abilities.

Abilities:
Passive: Assassin’s Mark
After hitting an enemy champion with one of your abilities, a circle appears around them. Leaving the circle grants your next basic attack more range, bonus damage, and restores energy.
Q: Five Point Strike
Akali throws blades in a cone in front of her, slowing enemies hit by the tip of the range. Casting this ability with full energy heals Akali and deals increased damage to minions and monsters.
W: Twilight Shroud
Akali drops a smoke-shroud, granting her true invisibility for five seconds. While inside the shroud, she cannot be targeted or revealed by towers or abilities. She also gains a movement speed boost and the shroud expands over time. Re-entering invisibility extends the duration of the ability, and it restores energy.
E: Shuriken Flip
Akali back-flips and throws a shuriken, dealing physical damage. If the shuriken hits an enemy or lands inside her W, she can cast this ability again to dash to it. This ability allows her to cross terrain and pushes her outside of her passive’s range for additional damage potential.
R: Perfect Execution
Akali’s ultimate grants her two dashes. The first dash deals damage and stuns her targets, while the second dash deals execution damage, scaling based on the enemy’s low health.
