League Patch 11.17 to Bring Improvements for Teemo and Adjustments for Viego and Zed by Riot

The Latest Changes Coming to League of Legends in Patch 11.17

The League of Legends gameplay design team has provided a detailed preview of the upcoming changes in Patch 11.17. These changes primarily focus on adjustments to the champion roster, with 17 individual champions receiving buffs, nerfs, and adjustments.

Some of the notable champions that will undergo significant changes in Patch 11.17 include Ekko, Teemo, Akshan, Amumu, and many more. These changes will greatly impact the gameplay dynamics for these champions once the patch is live next week.

Viego Nerfs and Senna Buffs

One of the most significant changes in Patch 11.17 involves Viego, who will receive multiple nerfs. Viego’s auto attack range will be reduced from 225 to 200, while the critical strike scaling on his Blade of the Ruined King ability will be increased to balance the changes. Furthermore, Viego’s ultimate ability, Heartbreaker, will undergo a baseline slow duration reduction from 0.5 seconds to 0.25 seconds. The healing ratios associated with Viego’s passive, Sovereign Domination, will also be reduced in the upcoming patch.

Additionally, Senna, Viego’s in-game arch-nemesis, will receive some buffs. Senna’s attack speed and critical strike ratios will be improved. The most significant buff will enhance her passive, Absolution, by increasing the rate at which ghouls drop from minion kills when she is nearby from 4.1 percent to 8.3 percent in Patch 11.17.

Buffs and Nerfs to Other Champions

Aside from Viego and Senna, other popular champions will also experience changes in Patch 11.17. Some champions slated for nerfs include Graves, Irelia, Kayn, Leona, and Zed. The nerfs to Zed will affect the attack damage ratios of his Razor Shuriken and Shadow Slash abilities, as well as increase the cooldown of his ultimate ability, Death Mark.

Riot also plans to buff several champions, including Ekko, Evelynn, Lissandra, Nami, Xayah, and Teemo. Evelynn players can expect a cooldown decrease to her ultimate ability, Agony’s Embrace, in the early stages of the game. Teemo players, on the other hand, will see an increase in damage dealt by his Toxic Shot ability at all stages of the game.

Changes Focused on Solo Queue

Riot has acknowledged that Patch 11.17 will primarily target changes for solo queue, as no professional games will be played on this patch due to the downtime between regional playoffs and the start of the 2021 World Championship.

Patch 11.17 is scheduled to go live on August 25, according to the official patch schedule for League of Legends.
