League Patch 11.13 brings nerfs to Rumble and Lee Sin, buffs to Aphelios and Xayah

Riot Reveals Plans to Balance Champions in League of Legends Patch 11.13

Riot Games is preparing to address the dominance of certain champions in League of Legends in the upcoming Patch 11.13. This patch will focus on champions that have been performing exceptionally well or underwhelmingly in roles they were not originally designed for.

Nerfs Incoming for Rumble and Lee Sin

Rumble and Lee Sin have been wreaking havoc in both solo queue and professional play, and as a result, they will be receiving nerfs. While the specifics of these nerfs have not been disclosed, it is expected that Lee Sin’s ability to apply pressure in the solo lane will be significantly reduced. Rumble, on the other hand, may see a decrease in bonus damage against jungle monsters or an overall reduction in damage across his abilities to prevent him from leaving the jungle entirely. Riven, who has maintained a high win rate in Patch 11.12, will also be nerfed.

Buffs for ADC Champions

Marksmen players can look forward to a larger champion pool in the ADC role with planned buffs for Aphelios and Xayah. These buffs are likely a response to the nerfs to the Divine Sunderer item, which has seen increased usage in the bot lane. The increased damage from their abilities will coincide with the resurgence of marksman Mythic items like Galeforce and Kraken Slayer in the ADC meta.

Jungle Changes and Tahm Kench Rework

In the jungle, Olaf, known for his abuse of Goredrinker, will receive buffs, as will the newly reworked Dr. Mundo. Riot also aims to shift Viego, the Ruined King, back into the jungle role by increasing his damage against monsters. Additionally, Patch 11.13 will introduce a slight rework for Tahm Kench, switching the effects of his W and R abilities to better align with his kit.

It’s important to note that the changes mentioned in the Patch 11.13 preview are subject to potential revisions before their release on live servers. The patch is expected to go live on June 23.
