Riot Games Reveals World Championship Skins for Samsung Galaxy
Riot Games has shared a sneak peek of the upcoming World Championship skins on social media.
Ezreal, Gnar, Taliyah, Jarvan IV, Xayah, and Rakan will all receive new skins to commemorate Samsung Galaxy’s victory over SKT at last year’s Worlds.
Each skin comes with a unique recall animation inspired by the players’ actions. While they are all visually stunning, some recall animations, like Jarvan’s bat, may seem unrelated to Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong’s actions.
This marks the second set of Samsung skins, with the new ones featuring a different color scheme. The first set, for the Samsung White roster who dominated the 2014 Worlds, emphasized white while the new Samsung Galaxy skins prominently feature blue.
Compared to previous years, this year’s skins are of higher quality similar to last year’s SKT skins. Previous Worlds skins did not have custom recall animations or new particles.
In addition to the Samsung skins, a new Hextech skin for Poppy was also revealed. This exclusive skin will likely only be obtainable through Hextech Crafting, either by exchanging 10 gemstones or by rerolling three other skin shards.
Although the skins are not currently available on the PBE, they are expected to be released for testing in the next few days.
