League of Legends to introduce new Quickplay mode for testing in the upcoming year.

Riot Games Introduces Quickplay Game Mode for League of Legends

Riot Games has announced the addition of a new game mode called Quickplay for League of Legends. In a recent developer video, Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee and Andrei “Meddler” van Roon gave an update on the highly anticipated game mode, along with other new content for the game.

Quickplay Replaces Blind Pick Mode

Quickplay will replace League of Legend’s current Blind Pick mode, which had been a popular choice for newcomers and casual players since the game’s inception in 2009. It allowed players to select their preferred champion in a stress-free environment.

Faster and Simpler Gaming Experience

With Quickplay, players will be able to choose their role and preferred champions before entering the lobby, eliminating the need for champion select in Summoner’s Rift. This new mode is designed to provide a faster and simpler gaming experience.

A Mode for Casual Players

Quickplay caters to casual League of Legends players, particularly those with limited time for regular ranked play. Game modes like Arena have gained popularity, and Quickplay’s casual-friendly system aims to create a haven for those looking for a more relaxed gaming experience.

If you want to try out this new casual mode, Quickplay will be available on League of Legends’ PBE servers starting Wednesday, Oct. 25. The mode will be released gradually in different regions over several patch cycles. Stay tuned for more updates!
