League of Legends Introduces New Themed Event: Darius vs Garen
League of Legends is back with its newest themed event, featuring a showdown between two of the game’s most bitter rivals, Darius and Garen. To kick off the festivities, both champions are receiving new God King skins. This event, known as the VS. event, is the second annual showdown, following last year’s clash between Yasuo and Riven.
In this event, players will have the opportunity to pick a side and complete missions to earn points for their team’s cumulative score. The winning side will be rewarded with 1,000 Blue Essence and a special icon at the end of the event, according to the League website.
Completing missions will also grant players VS. Tokens, which can be used to earn various rewards. Additionally, specific events within the event will offer players the chance to earn special emotes and more Blue Essence. Tokens can be crafted into other loot, such as random champion shards and icons. Crafting Wolf or Lion Orbs will give players the opportunity to obtain skins, gemstones, and VS. bags, which contain five random champion shards from the same faction.
In addition to the themed event, League of Legends is bringing back the fan-favorite game mode, All Random Ultra Rapid Fire (ARURF). This mode will feature an Available Champions Pool, similar to the one in the All-Random-All-Mid (ARAM) mode. For this event, no champions are banned, giving players the freedom to choose any champion they desire.
The event is set to begin on June 27 and will run until July 10.
