League of Legends runes system needs fixing

Riot Accidentally Resets Runes in League of Legends Season 10

On the night of February 4, players logging into League of Legends were in for an unexpected surprise. Instead of their customized runes, everyone was greeted with default runes that couldn’t be changed.

Reports of the issue started pouring in around 9pm CT, with players expressing their frustration on social media. This unforeseen change affected players across multiple servers, including ranked game modes.

Interestingly, this rune reset occurred shortly after the release of patch 10.3, which shouldn’t have caused any major changes to the game. Despite the confusion, Riot Games has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve it.

In the meantime, it may be wise to play for-fun modes if you’re not a fan of the preset rune pages. Stay tuned for updates on when the issue will be fixed.
