League of Legends players reach a consensus on the most insignificant champions

League of Legends Champions with No Impact on Lore

In the vast world of League of Legends, there are 165 champions, each with their own unique backstory. However, some champions don’t contribute to the overall lore of Runeterra. These champions could be removed from the game without any significant changes taking place. According to the community, one such champion is Shaco.

Shaco is a champion who lacks a deep lore. All we know about him is that he is an enchanted marionette who serves as a plaything for a lonely prince. However, he eventually becomes corrupted by dark magic and the loss of his beloved charge. Now, his sole purpose is to kill and unleash his maniacal laughter.

Fans appreciate the fact that Shaco has no lore because it aligns with his enigmatic character. One player put it perfectly by saying, “He’s just a random entity that no one understands. He’s part of nothing, of no species, of no faction or nation. He just… is.”

Cho’Gath is another champion who serves little to no purpose in terms of lore. While the story of the Void is explored, Cho’Gath is merely mentioned as a greatly intelligent creature that feeds on its prey. Players view Cho’Gath not as a physical character, but as a representation of the dangerous nature of the Void itself.

Some fans believe that Riot, the developer of League of Legends, may have plans for Cho’Gath in the future. They speculate that in a potential MMO set in Runeterra, there could be a cataclysmic event similar to World of Warcraft, which would unveil Cho’Gath and showcase the full strength of the Void.
