League of Legends players express desire for Season 14 to prioritize ‘community well-being’

League of Legends Community Calls for Improved Player Experience

The League of Legends community has a reputation for toxicity and the presence of smurfs, which has left players frustrated. As a result, there is a growing demand for Riot Games to prioritize addressing these issues in the upcoming season.

A player recently started a discussion on Reddit, highlighting how the game itself is enjoyable, but the player base is ruining the overall experience. They called on the developers to focus on the “state of the community.”

“Balancing seems decent and new updates, like Neeko, add freshness to the gameplay,” stated the author. “However, the community has reached an all-time low.” It’s hard to argue with this sentiment as the League of Legends community has been complaining about toxic lobbies and the rise of smurfing for quite some time.

Another prevalent issue in League of Legends is the presence of bot accounts, as noted by several players in the comments. One comment highlighted the abundance of level 30-40 bot accounts with unusually high win rates in high diamond/masters elo. Players have expressed frustration over Riot’s lack of an algorithm to detect and ban these accounts.

Despite these concerns, the author acknowledges that they, like many others, still enjoy playing League of Legends. The main argument put forward is that the community should work together to preserve the special aspects of the game that attract players in the first place.

There is a collective desire among players for Riot Games to address community issues to prevent player attrition. The implementation of any potential improvements would undoubtedly have a positive impact on the game as a whole.
