League of Legends fans eagerly await holiday-themed skins
Every year, fans of League of Legends look forward to the release of holiday-themed skins within the game. Whether it’s the Snow Day, Sugar Rush, or Winterblessed skin lines, Riot Games never fails to captivate fans with the creative outfits they design for the champions.
However, some fans have noticed that certain champions who would fit perfectly into the winter theme are consistently left out of the festivities. One champion in particular is Lillia, a centaur-esque character who many believe would be an ideal candidate for a reindeer-themed skin.
Two years ago, an artist and Reddit user named u/Harimii shared their rendition of Reindeer Lillia, igniting a sense of excitement among League of Legends fans who believed that an official skin like this would eventually be released. However, since her release, Lillia has yet to receive a holiday skin, leading to discussions within the community about this missed opportunity.
The concept art created by the artist showcases not only Reindeer Lillia’s appearance but also visual representations of her abilities. Her Q and W abilities incorporate snowflake patterns, while her E ability throws a snowball similar to Nunu and Willump’s W ability (although it does not grow larger over time). Additionally, her ultimate ability transforms the sleeping icon above enemy champions into a snowflake, further adding a festive touch to her kit.
Although it remains uncertain whether or not Lillia will ever receive a winter-themed skin in League of Legends, passionate fans continue to hold onto hope as they create and share fan art inspired by the concept. In the meantime, players can celebrate the holidays with the recently released Winterblessed skin line, featuring Diana, Warwick, Shaco, Zoe, Zilean, and Swain.
