League of Legends player uncovers groundbreaking Alistar double knock-up technique

New Alistar Double Knockup Combo Discovered in League of Legends

League of Legends continues to surprise players with its endless possibilities and constant discovery of new interactions. Recently, a player shared a clip of a devastating Alistar double knock-up combo that can wreak havoc on opponents when executed correctly.

If you want to see the combo in action, check out this Reddit post from the leagueoflegends subreddit.

This combo utilizes a spell buffering technique along with an item that has a cast time. The player in the example used Ironspike Whip, which has a small cast animation, to enable this tactic.

In order to execute the combo effectively, you need to start by casting W, then activate the item, and finally press Q. However, before Q goes off, cancel it with a right-click. This sequence allows you to stun the target without displacing them, setting up for a follow-up with Q and passive abilities for a massive crowd control chain.

It’s important to note that in the past, Alistar had a similar interaction with Recall. However, it was fixed in Patch 8.24 due to unintended and excessive crowd control chains. If this new tactic gains popularity, there’s a high chance it will be hotfixed as well, as it replicates the same concept of canceling the displacement caused by W.
