League of Legends’ PBE to Introduce Major Blitzcrank Updates

New Changes Coming to Blitzcrank in League of Legends PBE

Blitzcrank enthusiasts, get ready for some major updates! Riot Games champion designer, Daniel “Maxw3ll” Emmons, recently announced in a developer’s blog post that there will be significant adjustments to Blitzcrank’s passive ability.

Maxw3ll explains that the goal behind the new passive is to make it more consistent and not discourage players from casting spells. Additionally, the team wanted to expand the uses of Blitzcrank’s ultimate passive in teamfights. However, these changes are not planned to be implemented in the live servers with version 9.7.

Changes to Blitzcrank’s Passive

The first change affects Blitzcrank’s passive ability, Mana Barrier. The shield strength will now be 30 percent of max mana instead of 50 percent of current mana. While this change is significant, the second change is even more intriguing.

Riot is planning to replace Blitzcrank’s current ultimate passive, where he randomly shocks a nearby enemy every 2.5 seconds. Instead, when Static Field is active, Blitzcrank will mark enemies he attacks. After one second, these marked enemies will take 50/100/150 and 30 percent AP magic damage. Blitzcrank can mark any targets and can reapply the passive after the last mark is expended.

An Improved Ultimate Passive

Upon initial examination, Blitzcrank’s new ultimate passive appears to be much more interactive and useful than the old one. The lightning strikes relied too much on random chance and felt outdated for a champion in season nine. Additionally, the change to the shield should allow players to be more aggressive with their spells without worrying about the size of the shield.

Stay tuned for further updates on Blitzcrank’s changes in League of Legends. Exciting times lie ahead for all Blitzcrank enthusiasts!
