League of Legends’ PBE introduces significant buffs to Vision runes

Ghost Poro and Zombie Ward Runes Buffed in League of Legends

The Ghost Poro and Zombie Ward runes, which are part of the Domination tree in League of Legends, are receiving buffs on the PBE.

With the changes, taking Ghost Poro will replace your current trinket slot with a Ghost Poro when you step into a brush. This Poro can be placed down to provide vision for 300 seconds or until an enemy enters the bush. Unlike the current version, which lasts indefinitely and is automatically channeled upon entering a bush.

Additionally, the Ghost Poro rune is receiving a new passive effect. If the Poro is placed in enemy territory past the river, the user will gain between five to 20 adaptive stats based on their level. This change is particularly significant because the removal of Sightstone and Tracker’s Knife has made vision much harder to obtain for junglers. Consequently, counterjungling has become riskier. The changes to Ghost Poro may encourage more aggressive plays behind enemy lines and make it an attractive option for top laners who want to gain free stats by hiding in bushes near Gromp or Krugs.

On the other hand, Zombie Ward users will receive additional damage after destroying an enemy ward. They will gain 30 to 90 bonus magic damage, depending on their level, on their next attack or spell against an enemy champion. While this damage boost seems out of place thematically, it adds an extra effect to the rune.

The Zombie Ward itself will also last 120 seconds at all levels after clearing an enemy ward, instead of scaling up from 30 seconds to 120 seconds.

Overall, these changes to vision provide players with more options when utilizing the Domination path in their rune choices.
