The developers of League of Legends aim to bring exciting changes to the game in Patch 11.9, with the hope of shaking up the meta. As the Mid-Season Invitational approaches, they want to diversify the champion pool and give other champions like Shen and Lulu a chance to shine on the international stage in Reykjavík, Iceland from May 6 to 23. Gragas will be stepping out of the spotlight for now.

In-game Shop Updates
The item sets dropdown has been improved. Elixirs now display a cooldown in the Quickbuy panels. After purchasing a Mythic item, additional Mythic items will no longer appear in the builds menu. Ornn items will be displayed in the shop if Ornn is on your team.
Summoner’s Rift Ranked Split Two Start
The second split of ranked will begin on Sunday, May 2. Players can earn exclusive rewards by achieving success in this split, including a Gwen summoner icon, Gwen emotes, and a Series one Eternals Capsule.
Shurima and MSI Clash
Shurima Clash: The second weekend of Shurima-themed Clash will take place on May 1 and 2. Team formation for this weekend will open on April 26.
MSI Clash: The first weekend of the MSI-themed Clash will be on May 8 and 9. Team formation for this weekend will open on May 3. The second weekend will align with patch 11.11.
Bug Fixes and Quality-of-life Changes
Various bugs have been fixed, including Viego’s interaction with Kindred and Shyvana’s stacking passives, and Viego occasionally retaining Wolf’s VFX after possessing Kindred. Omnivamp and champion stat panel bugs have been addressed. Jayce and Wukong bugs have been fixed. Kog’Maw’s passive VO is restored. Item purchase issues and ability bugs have been resolved.
