League of Legends Patch 11.24b Reveals Upcoming Nerfs to Dr. Mundo, Talon, and More by Riot

Last Patch of the Year for League of Legends to Bring Nerfs and Changes

The final patch of the year for League of Legends is almost here, and it’s set to bring a wave of nerfs to champions and systems that have been dominating the game in the preseason. Riot Phlox, a designer on the Summoner’s Rift team, shared the details of the upcoming nerfs in Patch 11.24b, which is scheduled to be released on December 15th.

Nerfs to Champions and Systems

The nerfs in Patch 11.24b will target various champions and a new rune in League of Legends. These changes aim to address the overpowered nature of certain champions and bring more balance to the game. This patch will be the last one for 2021, with the next patch expected to arrive in January, marking the beginning of the 2022 season.

Specific Nerfs Included

Dr. Mundo, the only tank on the nerf list, will see a slight reduction in his HP regeneration and damage on his Q ability. These changes aim to make him less oppressive to his opponents and create a more balanced gameplay experience.

Talon, a popular jungle champion, will have his damage ratios adjusted to reduce his clearing speed and compensate for his aggressive mobility. The damage ratio on his W ability against jungle camps will be lowered, and the damage bonus offered by the Inspiration keystone, First Strike, will also be decreased.

Kassadin and Lux, two mages that have been performing well in their respective lanes, will also be nerfed. Kassadin’s damage reduction on his passive and the bonus damage on his W will be decreased. Lux, primarily played as a support, will receive substantial nerfs to her Q cooldown and damage to address her high efficiency in binding enemies.

Vayne, who has been a strong pick both in the top and bot lane, will have the bonus damage associated with her ultimate reduced. This change aims to create more opportunities for counterplay against her.

Upcoming Patch Release and Live Servers

Patch 11.24b is set to release on December 15th. However, not all of the changes mentioned in this preview may make it to the live servers in the same capacity. As Riot continues to evaluate the effects of the preseason changes, more champions may receive nerfs in future patches.
