League of Legends’ Latest Hotfix Addresses Various Bugs in Patch 10.23, Such as Excess Zoe Teleport Shards and Ashe’s Passive Crit Scaling

Riot Introduces Preseason Patch to League of Legends with Bug Fixes and Balance Changes

Riot recently released a massive preseason patch for League of Legends, but it seems that some bugs have slipped through. In response, the game’s gameplay design director, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, outlined a hotfix that addresses these issues. Additionally, he mentioned that there are balance changes on the way.

Hotfix to Address Bugs and Balance Changes

Yetter tweeted about the hotfix, stating that it includes a small batch of bug fixes. However, there will likely be more bug fixes in the future as the patch continues to roll out. He also mentioned that they are still considering early balance changes, which might be implemented later today.

Bug Fixes in the Hotfix

The hotfix addresses specific bugs, such as Vladimir’s Tides of Blood (E) ability, which will now properly reset its cooldown when cast. Another bug fix involves Ashe’s passive crit scaling, which will no longer double stack with Guinsoo’s Rageblade on-hit ability. This bug allowed enemies affected by Ashe’s Frost passive to take additional on-hit damage that scaled off critical strike. By combining this with Rageblade’s Wraith passive, Ashe could deal a significant amount of on-hit damage.

Additional Bug Fixes

Another bug that was fixed in the mini-update involved Zoe, who was able to generate extra teleport shards on the floor. The hotfix also addressed other issues, including an exploit caused by selling the jungle item and recursive interactions between Riftmaker’s burn and Elder Dragon, as well as The Collector execute with the Elder Dragon execute. The Grievous Wounds passive granted from Bramble Vest and Thornmail will now continue working after the wearer dies, and Garen’s E ability will now have the correct amount of crit scaling.

Continued Bug Fixes Based on Community Feedback

With such a major patch, it’s expected that more bugs will emerge. Riot is actively listening to feedback from the community and working to fix any issues that are affecting matchmaking.
