League of Legends Jungler Plummets in Performance Following Patch 13.8 Nerfs

Kayn’s Win Rates Plummet After Nerfs in League of Legends

Kayn, the champion in League of Legends, has seen a significant decline in popularity among jungle players after two nerfs to his major ability in Patch 13.8 on April 19.

According to U.GG, a stat site for League of Legends, Kayn currently ranks 11th in terms of junglers with the worst win rates in Platinum+ ranks. He has a poor win rate of 48.80 percent, which drops even further to 47.71 percent in Diamond+ ranks, ranking him sixth worst among all jungle champions.

This sharp decline is surprising considering Kayn was performing well before the recent nerfs. In Patch 13.7, he maintained win rates above 50 percent in most ranks and was highly valued by skilled players. Patch 13.8 was not expected to have such a significant impact on his performance.

The latest update aimed to slightly lower Kayn’s win rate and make it easier to punish him, as mentioned in the official patch notes by Riot Games developers. Kayn’s Shadow Assassin bonus movement speed was reduced from 80 percent to 70 percent, and the ability’s cooldown was increased from eight to ten seconds.

Although these changes may seem minor, Kayn has seen a decrease of around two percent in his win rate on average, resulting in a current win rate below 49 percent in most ranks.

All in all, it is important to note that Kayn has always been a challenging champion to balance, and it is likely that he will remain in his current state until the developers find a suitable solution to his fluctuating win rate.
