The wait is over: Sett joins League of Legends
League of Legends fans rejoice! Sett, the Boss, has finally arrived in the game. In today’s update, players who obtained Sett’s calling card over the past few weeks can unlock him for free on the live servers.
Sett brings back the physicality of older champions to the League cast. Recent champions have focused on long-range combat or elusiveness, but Sett revitalizes the juggernaut class, being the first champ in this category since Illaoi’s release in 2015.
Here’s a rundown of Sett’s abilities:
Passive—Pit Grit
Heavy Hands: Sett’s basic attacks alternate between a left and right punch, with the left punch always starting first. Attack speed increases the speed of both punches. Left punches do normal damage, while right punches come out faster and deal bonus damage. Sett resets back to a left punch if he doesn’t do a right punch within two seconds.
Heart of the Half-Beast: Sett gains additional health regeneration for each five percent missing health.
Q—Knuckle Down
Sett gains a movement speed buff for a short duration when moving towards enemy champions. His next two basic attacks deal bonus physical damage and a percentage of the target’s maximum health. Consuming an attack refreshes the timer.
W—Haymaker
Passive: Sett stores damage taken as “Grit” up to a certain cap. Grit decays over time.
Active: Sett expends all Grit to deal true damage to enemies in a centerline. Enemies outside the centerline take physical damage. Sett also gains a shield equal to the expended Grit.
E—Facebreaker
Sett pulls in enemies from his front and back, dealing damage and slowing them. If Facebreaker affects enemies on both sides, they are stunned after landing.
R—The Show Stopper
Sett suppresses the target enemy champion, carries them forward, and slams them to the ground. Enemies within the impact area take damage and are slowed.
With the League of Legends 2020 season just beginning, fans have plenty of time to climb the ranks with Sett.
