League of Legends Fans Witness Record-Breaking Fast Game at MSI 2023: Gen.G vs. G2

Korean Team Gen.G Dominates G2 Esports in MSI 2023 Bracket Stage Match

Korean League of Legends fans are excited about the recent match between Gen.G and G2 Esports in the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational’s first bracket stage. Gen.G dominated G2, who is Europe’s second seed, in a 3-1 victory.

During the second game, Gen.G’s top seed showed incredible strength and skill, defeating G2 in just 19 minutes and 44 seconds. This match is the fastest of the tournament so far and could be remembered for a long time.

Gen.G’s rookie AD carry, Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan, played a crucial role in their victory, achieving 13 kills, two assists, and only one death while playing as Aphelios. The entire Gen.G team performed exceptionally well, outplaying G2 in rotations, teamfights, and objectives, while consistently catching overextended enemies.

In the series, Gen.G remained composed in every situation, while G2 seemed to make overcommitments in several moments throughout the four games. Although G2 managed to win one game with impressive early-game play from their jungler, Martin “Yike” Sundelin, and excellent late-game teamfighting, it was not enough to secure the series.

Now, Gen.G will move on to the second round of the upper bracket at MSI 2023, while G2 will have to win their next series to stay in the lower bracket.
