League of Legends’ Enchanters Gain Enhanced Poke Damage through Item Updates in 2024

New Options for Enchanters in League of Legends Preseason

Enchanters, despite being despised by many players for their aggressive supportive kits, are getting some new options in the upcoming preseason of League of Legends. Riot Games has made changes to the enchanter class to benefit their damage and sustain, which may help change players’ perception of these champions.

As part of the overall changes coming to League, Riot announced some new and reworked items for enchanter players. These changes include an overhaul to the existing item system and a massive adjustment to Summoner’s Rift itself. One notable change is the removal of Chemtech Purifier, an item similar to Morellonomicon that provided easy access to grievous wounds for enchanters.

One new item that enchanter players can look forward to is Glowing Mote. This is a starting item, similar to Doran’s Blade and Doran’s Ring, that can be purchased for 250 gold. It provides players with five ability haste, which compensates for the lack of this stat on the new World Atlas core support item. The World Atlas combines the effects of Frostfang and Relic Shield.

Enchanters will also have a new legendary item option called Dawncore. This item combines the old Mythic enchanter passive of empowering heal and shield power into one core item. The passive of Dawncore grants players an additional three-percent heal and shield power, as well as five ability power per 100-percent mana regeneration. It also grants 18 summoner spell haste. This item costs 2,700 gold to complete and requires two Bandleglass Mirrors and 700 additional gold as components.

Echoes of Helia, which was recently introduced into the support item pool, is also receiving a small buff to its base stats and a rework to its unique Soul Siphon passive. This allows players to hold up to three shards for damaging champions. Each shard is consumed upon healing or shielding an ally champion, healing them for 20 health and dealing 55 magic damage to a nearby enemy champion. This rewards players for being more aggressive with their playstyle.

Another item, Staff of Flowing Waters, will be changing its effects. Instead of providing bonus effects to an ally, it will now provide bonus effects to the item’s owner. Healing or shielding an ally will grant the player that cast the ability with 40 ability power and a ten-percent bonus movement speed for three seconds. This change makes it a more aggressive option for not only enchanters but also champions like Nidalee who can heal themselves.

Players can look forward to incorporating these new items into their enchanter build paths, as well as exploring powerful combinations with existing items. In the upcoming preseason, Mythic items will be completely removed from the game, offering new possibilities for itemization. These changes are now available for testing on the PBE.
