League of Legends developers to strengthen AD champions in Patch 13.21 following balance adjustments revealing vulnerabilities

League of Legends Patch 13.21 to Bring Buffs for AD Junglers

League of Legends’ latest update, Patch 13.20, introduced several changes to the game, particularly for the jungle. However, this resulted in a decline for a few AD junglers. Fortunately, Patch 13.21 is set to fix that issue.

Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, Lead Gameplay Designer for League, shared a list of changes on X that highlighted the current weaknesses of AD champions in the game. With Patch 13.21, the developers aim to strengthen these champions and address some of their issues.

“Some tanks are too strong and a lot of AD champions are too weak. We’re looking to return the AD ratio to the pet damage and make some adjustments to healing,” Phroxzon wrote.

As a result, champions like Hecarim, Master Yi, Kha’Zix, and Bel’Veth will receive buffs in Patch 13.21. It’s not just the junglers getting some love, though. Riot is also buffing LeBlanc, Varus, Morgana jungle, Tahm Kench top, and the recently reworked champion, K’Sante.

The specifics of these changes have not yet been revealed, but Riot plans to bring each AD jungler up by a certain amount. These adjustments, which include reverting the pet AD ratio nerf, will be unveiled on late night of Oct. 17.

Currently, the mentioned junglers have poor win rates in the jungle. According to U.GG, in Platinum+ ranks, Hecarim, Bel’Veth, and Master Yi rank as the second, fourth, and sixth-worst junglers in terms of win rate. However, in Patch 13.19, they were performing well.

In addition, champions like K’Sante, LeBlanc, and Varus were already struggling in Patch 13.19, but their situation worsened in Patch 13.20.

Patch 13.21 Release Date

Patch 13.21 is scheduled to launch on Oct. 25, bringing much-needed buffs for the AD junglers and other champions.
