League of Legends continues Arcana theme with new skins for Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Hecarim, and Ryze

Arcana Skins Return to League of Legends with New Champions

Riot Games is bringing back the popular Arcana thematic skin line in League of Legends this year. The skin line, which was first released in 2021, features designs based on tarot cards and transforms champions into fantastical versions of themselves. The upcoming release of Patch 12.7 will introduce five new Arcana skins for Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Hecarim, and Ryze. These skins are currently being tested on the PBE and are expected to be available soon.

What to Expect from the New Arcana Skins

When it comes to the Arcana skins, each champion’s abilities are enhanced with a mysterious orange glow and shining particles. The skins themselves adopt deep shades of red and black, giving the champions a unique and captivating appearance.

In addition, the recall animations for each champion incorporate tarot cards. The champions interact with smaller tarot cards that reflect their personalities before merging with a giant tarot card that appears behind them. For example, Hecarim summons a red carpet surrounded by tarot cards, which then serve as his fans before he slices them up and strikes a pose.

Arcana Skins: A Success in the League of Legends Community

The Arcana skin line has been a hit since its debut last year, with champions like Lucian, Tahm Kench, Camille, and Xerath already part of the thematic. Now, the new additions of Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Hecarim, and Ryze will further expand the Arcana world. These champions have been crucial in the 2022 meta, making appearances in both solo queue and professional play worldwide.

If you’re excited about the new Arcana skins, keep an eye out for their release in Patch 12.7. In the meantime, they are available for testing on the PBE.
