Many League of Legends players dream of becoming professional. However, entering the pro scene requires intense training and resilience.
In a special event called Clash, Riot Games gives all League players a taste of tournament competition.
Clashes are limited-time tournaments where players form teams of five and compete against other teams. The Clash system ranks each squad and places them in a skill bracket with similarly talented teams.
Although Clash debuted in 2017, it is not a permanent feature in the game. The tournament dates are announced a week or two in advance, giving players ample time to assemble their teams.

If you’re participating in a Clash tournament for the first time, be prepared for it to last longer than expected.
To participate, players need a Clash Ticket or a Premium Ticket. A Clash Ticket costs 975 Blue Essence or 195 Riot Points (RP), while the Premium Ticket can be purchased for 975 RP. The difference lies in the rewards players unlock based on their performance.
How long is a Clash tournament in League of Legends?
A Clash tournament typically consists of at least three matches. Even if you lose the first match, you can still compete for consolation prizes in the lower bracket.
What are the Clash rewards in League of Legends?
Players receive Clash rewards based on their Victory Points (VP). Each win in Clash mode grants players 200 VP, and there is a bonus of zero, 50, 100, or 150 VP based on their Clash Tier for the first win. VP can be used to unlock banners and team icons displayed in profiles and lanes during regular League matches.
- 400 Victory Points: Banner level one
- 600 Victory Points: Theme logo one
- 1000 Vİctory Points: Banner level two
- 1400 Victory Points: Banner level three
- 2000 Victory Points: Theme logo two
If you participate in multiple Clash events throughout the season, you can upgrade the banner frame’s appearance by collecting more banners.
In addition to banners and logos, Clash events offer Clash Orbs or Clash Capsules as rewards based on your result.

- Eighth place: Three-win XP boost
- Seventh and sixth place: Icon Permanent
- Fifth place: Icon Permanent and 640 Ward Skin Shards
- Fourth place: Icon Permanent, 640 Ward Skin Shards, and Emote Permanent
- Third place: Icon Permanent, 640 Ward Skin Shards, Emote Permanent, and a Clash Ticket
- Second place: Icon Permanent, 640 Ward Skin Shards, Emote Permanent, a Clash Ticket, and 975 Skin Shards
- First place: Icon Permanent, 640 Ward Skin Shards, Emote Permanent, a Clash Ticket, 975 Skin Shards, and an Epic Skin Shard
Clash Capsule – Given to players participating with a Premium Ticket
- Eighth place: A Clash Ticket, 750 Skin Shards, and 500 Orange Essence
