Riot Games Expands the League of Legends Universe
Riot Games has announced exciting new plans to expand the world of League of Legends and move the story forward.
Previously, most of the lore on Riot’s League Nexus website focused on past events, providing players with insights into champion backstories and locations like Demacia and Noxus. However, the company is now ready to progress these stories and allow the world of Runeterra to grow.
With the introduction of Sylas, Riot aims to evolve Demacia’s story and explore how the country can face the new mage threat. The developers believe that the League universe is currently stuck in time and want to move it forward to give fans more engaging content.
In addition to expanding the world, Riot plans to explore and develop stories about the residents of Bandle City, the home of the Yordles, within the Nexus. They will also delve into alternative universe adventures based on popular skin lines like Project and Star Guardian.
