LCS Team and Summit Allegedly Reach Verbal Agreement for 2023 Season

League of Legends Free Agency: Summit Joins Team Liquid for 2023 Season

The preseason roster changes for the upcoming League of Legends season are already in full swing, and it has been reported that top laner Park “Summit” Woo-tae will be joining an LCS team. Independent journalist Brieuc Seeger has revealed that Summit will join Team Liquid for the 2023 season. Other teams that Summit considered joining include FlyQuest and MAD Lions. This move could provide Summit with the opportunity he needs to prove himself as a true top laner.

Summit’s Career and Recent Moves

Summit began his professional career in 2016 with Chungnam and later secured a spot in Afreeca Freecs. After playing for Afreeca Freecs for over a year, he joined SANDBOX Gaming. Despite the team’s lack of success, Summit’s first year with the team was promising as they achieved third place during the Summer split of 2019. Summit spent 10 more months with SANDBOX Gaming before deciding to move on.

In the previous season, Summit had experimented with his options, playing for Cloud9 in the LCS, but it didn’t work out for him. He then joined FunPlus Phoenix for a split, but the team didn’t find much success and finished in seventh place.

Opportunity with Team Liquid

Joining Team Liquid could be the breakthrough that Summit has been searching for. It presents him with the chance to prove himself as a top laner. With Team Liquid’s support, Summit could reach new heights in his career. The official League of Legends free agency window opened on November 21, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how the rosters will shape up for the upcoming season.
