LCS Power Rankings: Week 6 of the 2022 Spring Split

The 2022 LCS Spring Split Enters Final Stretch

The 2022 LCS Spring Split is coming to an end, and the focus is shifting from the domestic playoff race to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). With only five games left for each team, the upcoming weeks will determine the outlook for the rest of the season.

We gained some clarity last week regarding the top teams. Cloud9 solidified their position at the top of our rankings with a win over Team Liquid. Despite this, no team has been eliminated from the playoff race yet. With only four games separating third place from second-to-last place, every team still has a chance to make it to the playoffs.

Here are our updated LCS power rankings heading into the second-to-last week of the Spring Split:

Teams Still in the Mix

Golden Guardians, Immortals, and TSM are fighting to break out from the bottom of the standings. Golden Guardians have shown promise but struggle to close out victories. CLG, on the other hand, has found a second wind. These teams need to reevaluate their approach if they want to make a comeback.

The Battle for a Playoff Spot

Dignitas and CLG are currently on the bottom end of the standings, but they’re still in contention for a playoff spot. CLG’s performance has improved, thanks to Contractz and Luger. Dignitas has been consistent, and Biofrost’s performance has exceeded expectations. These teams need to push hard in the final weeks to secure their place in the playoffs.

Looking to Maintain Their Position

Evil Geniuses and FlyQuest are on the fringe of the playoff picture. Every match matters for them as they try to secure their spots in the postseason. FlyQuest hasn’t performed well recently, while EG has been inconsistent. Both teams need to tighten their grip to avoid losing their playoff spots.

The Battle for the Top Spots

Team Liquid and 100 Thieves are vying for the second overall seed. While Liquid missed their chance to strike against Cloud9, 100 Thieves still have an opportunity to climb the rankings. Liquid is a strong title contender, and their recent wins have been impressive. The race for the top two spots is still open.

C9 Clinches a Playoff Spot

Cloud9 is the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs. Their excellent performance in week six showcased their early-game proactivity and map control. While they have a challenging path ahead, C9’s teamplay and individual excellence give them a strong chance at another LCS championship.
