LCS New Franchise Follow eSports Initiates Rebrand as Splyce, Acquires Call of Duty Team

Splyce Acquires New LCS Team, Renames Follow eSports

Follow eSports, the self-proclaimed “TV Guide of Esports,” has rebranded itself and its professional teams as Splyce after acquiring a newly qualified League Championship Series (LCS) team.

The Splyce brand will now extend across multiple platforms as it holds teams in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and more.

The team has also expanded its roster by picking up a professional Call of Duty squad, which will be competing at the Call of Duty World League Pro Division Qualifying Invitational Tournament on Dec. 4.

Splyce CEO, Marty Strenczewilk, expressed excitement about the rebranding, stating, “I couldn’t think of a better way for us to be able to share this new look than pairing it with bringing on an elite Call of Duty team that’s been invited to the Activision World League LAN qualifier.”

Along with the rebranding, Splyce has added a new feature to its website, push notifications for followed events.

The acquisition of Team Dignitas’s European LCS squad on Oct. 29 made the decision to rebrand under a single name like Splyce more reasonable.

The team has high hopes for their inaugural LCS season and will now compete wearing the black-and-yellow snake logo of Splyce.
