LCS Commissioner Announces Live Audience for 2022 Mid-Season Showdown in Texas

LCS Mid-Season Showdown Confirmed for 2022; Will Be Held in Houston, Texas

After months of silence, LCS Commissioner Jackie Felling has confirmed that the 2022 Mid-Season Showdown will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The event will have a live audience.

In a Reddit comment, Felling assured fans that the finals are still happening. She also mentioned that “tickets and other details” will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Felling acknowledged that event planning during the pandemic has been challenging but expressed excitement about finally being in Texas. She appreciated everyone’s understanding as they work through the final details to release tickets soon.

Live LCS events have been on hold since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, the 2021 LCS Championship was relocated from New Jersey to the LCS Studio in Los Angeles to protect players and staff from COVID-19.

The news of the 2022 Mid-Season Showdown with a live audience will certainly be welcomed by fans who have been missing in-person events.

Felling also mentioned that the LCS is working towards allowing fans back at the LCS Studio in the near future, although there are various factors to consider before making that possible.

The 2022 Mid-Season Showdown is scheduled to take place on April 23 and 24.
