LCS 2019 Spring Week 4 Power Rankings

TSM makes a comeback after a losing streak

Last week in the North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), TSM, who seemed like they were down and out after three consecutive losses, made an impressive 2-0 comeback. Team Liquid, who looked unbeatable, suffered a loss against TSM, making the week a chaotic one.

Chaos in voting for LCS power rankings

Voting for the LCS power rankings has been a challenge this season due to the unpredictable results. However, after week four, the chaos escalated. Our voters had varying opinions, resulting in diverse scores ranging from one point (worst) to ten points (best). Here are the final rankings:

Rankings breakdown

1)Team Liquid30
2)Cloud927
3)FlyQuest23
4)TSM21
5)Echo Fox17
6)100 Thieves12
6)CLG12
6)Golden Guardians12
9)Clutch Gaming6
10)OpTic Gaming5

Here is our explanation for the rankings, although everything may change in the coming weeks.

Struggles for Clutch and OpTic

Both Clutch and OpTic started the season with hope, but their performances have been disappointing. Clutch’s Korean top-jungle duo, Huni and LirA, have yet to find their footing. OpTic had a chance to defeat Cloud9 but were hindered by a mistake from their mid laner, Crown. Luck shouldn’t be a deciding factor for success.

Unpredictability for 100 Thieves, CLG, and Golden Guardians

It’s hard to predict what these teams will bring each week. 100 Thieves won two games in week three but lost two in week four. CLG had a lackluster win against Clutch and then lost to Golden Guardians. The bottom of the LCS is underwhelming.

New contenders: FlyQuest, TSM, and Echo Fox

TSM has made an impressive resurgence, climbing back into the top half of the standings. FlyQuest continues to show competence in an otherwise inconsistent region. Echo Fox surprises fans with their dominant performance during lane phase.

Consistency for Team Liquid and Cloud9

Team Liquid and Cloud9, despite facing challenges last week, remain at the top. Team Liquid suffered a fluky loss against TSM, but their overall performance has been solid. Cloud9 faced adversity against OpTic but managed to secure the win. Both teams continue to be contenders.
