The LCK’s Mad Movie Highlights Best Plays of Week
The LCK is renowned for its incredible League of Legends gameplay. Now, the league’s production staff has introduced the Mad Movie, a weekly highlight video series featuring top plays from the world’s best players.
This week’s spotlight is on Gen.G’s star AD carry, Ruler, in his match against Sandbox Gaming. Ruler displayed exceptional skills as he kited against three enemy champions on Ashe during a teamfight.
Kiting Skills Showcased
During the video, the production staff slowed down the footage to give fans a closer look at Ruler’s impressive play. The video highlighted the number of inputs he had to make, showcasing his accuracy and speed. Ruler’s cursor was also highlighted with a yellow glow.
This level of kiting is common in the LCK, but the video helps fans understand the difficulty of playing as an ADC at the highest level. One small mistake could lead to death for a marksman, but the best players walk that line to secure teamfight victories.
Fighting Game Style Visualization
In the first week of the 2020 LCK Summer Split, the production team featured a one-vs-one fight between Sandbox Gaming’s Summit and Damwon Gaming’s Nuguri. The video visualized the fight in a fighting game style, effectively explaining the individual actions and abilities used in under 27 seconds.
This week’s Mad Movie is expected to showcase more great moments, particularly with DragonX and Damwon facing off on Saturday, July 11.
