KT Rolster Adds Rush, UcaL, and S0NSTAR to Their Roster

Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae Joins KT Rolster

Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae has officially signed with KT Rolster after taking a year-long break from competitive play.

Rush, known for his aggressive playstyle as a carry jungler, gained popularity in the Western scene while playing for Team Impulse and Cloud9. Fans were captivated by his skill and also enjoyed watching his streams.

However, a change in Riot Games’ interregional movement policy in 2016 extended the residency process for imported players, causing uncertainties for Rush’s future on Cloud9. Internal issues within the team also contributed to the hazy situation.

Rush briefly played on Cloud9’s challenger roster but ultimately returned to South Korea before the 2016 Summer Split ended. He stopped streaming, believing it hindered his growth as a player. Despite playing in Korean solo queue, Rush remained unsigned until now.

New Additions to KT Rolster

Along with Rush, KT Rolster has also signed rookie mid laner Son “UcaL” Woo-hyeon and coach Son “S0NSTAR” Seung-ik.

UcaL has generated a lot of hype due to his solo queue achievements, making his debut a highly anticipated event. It is unclear whether he will be a substitute or a starter, as KT Rolster’s current mid laner, Heo “PawN” Won-seok, faced criticism for his performance in 2017.

Former AD carry turned coach, S0NSTAR, joins KT Rolster unexpectedly but not surprisingly. The team’s head coach Lee Ji-hun recently stepped down from his position, creating a void that S0NSTAR’s presence will hopefully begin to fill.

KT Rolster’s Recent Success

KT Rolster emerged victorious in this year’s Kespa Cup tournament, marking their first significant win since the KT Rolster Arrow’s OGN Champions victory in 2014.
