K’Sante, the Latest Addition to League of Legends, is now Playable

K’Sante: The New Champion in League of Legends

K’Sante, also known as the Pride of Nazumah, is now playable on League of Legends’ servers. This marks the release of the 162nd champion in the game and the fifth one in 2022.

K’Sante is a bruiser champion focused on frontline play, specifically in the top lane. As a fighter with the ability to absorb damage, K’Sante is a versatile and intimidating pick for any team. His ultimate ability, All Out, is a powerful tool for displacing opponents, providing teams with extra engagement power.

K’Sante hails from Nazumah, a previously unexplored city in the Runeterran nation of Shurima. He is an esteemed monster hunter and the most well-regarded defender of the city. K’Sante is the first champion from Shurima since Akshan in 2021 and only the second new champion from the region in the last five years.

A significant aspect of K’Sante’s lore is his representation as the first openly gay and Black champion in League of Legends. Riot’s diversity and inclusion team made sure that K’Sante embodies the “lived experiences” of real marginalized groups, giving players who seldom see themselves represented in League champions an opportunity to resonate with the character.

In line with the tradition of new champions, K’Sante comes with one skin called Empyrean K’Sante. There is also a prestige version of the skin designed by rapper and pop star Lil Nas X, which players can earn.

You can now play as K’Sante on the live servers of League of Legends.
