Korean T1 Supporters Express Dissent Towards Organization’s Management Through Truck Messages

T1 Fans Use Innovative Protest Method to Criticize Organization

Fans of the T1 brand have found a new way to voice their criticism against the organization amidst controversial rumors surrounding the League of Legends team.

Earlier today, a truck with a large monitor displaying messages from T1 fans was seen driving through Seoul, South Korea. The fans hope that SK Telecom, the majority shareholder of the organization, will take notice.

The translated messages, written in Korean, include “No future for a team that shuts out devoted fans” and “We, SKT T1 fans, demand a clear and detailed explanation from top management.”

This form of protest is a first of its kind, but the discontent from a minority of the fanbase has been brewing over the past few weeks. Following T1’s disappointing performance in the LCK Summer Split, the team faced severe criticism for underperforming.

Controversy Surrounding Coaching Staff Rumors

The protest escalated further when rumors spread that LCK color commentator and Western analyst LS would become the coach of T1 for the upcoming season, alongside former StarCraft 2 legend Polt. Some fans questioned the experience of LS and Polt in coaching T1.

T1 responded to these concerns on Twitter, stating, “We want to reassure our fans that we are working hard to implement a coaching structure that will position us to win and bring home a 2021 World Championship.”

Despite the organization’s response, the discontent among fans has not subsided. They claim that T1 has turned its players, including the legendary Faker, into a “cash cow” and subjected them to excessive filming and advertising campaigns.

The truck carrying the protest messages made its way through downtown Seoul before parking outside SKT’s headquarters.
