KINGZONE DragonX successfully overcome a tough obstacle against Afreeca Freecs

KINGZONE DragonX Dominates Afreeca Freecs in LCK Match of the Week

KINGZONE DragonX proved their dominance in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) by securing an impressive victory against the third-place Afreeca Freecs.

Considered to be the top two teams in Korea, alongside KT Rolster, the matchup between KINGZONE and Afreeca was highly anticipated and lived up to expectations as the LCK match of the week. Surprisingly, both teams entered the match after losing their previous games, ending their respective win streaks.

Determined to start a new winning streak, KINGZONE took control of the series with a strong early game. They effectively defended the Dragon pit area, preventing Afreeca from securing the buff and securing multiple kills and a significant gold advantage.

However, Afreeca managed to make a comeback when they quickly secured the Baron buff. Empowered by the buff, they launched a swift assault on KINGZONE’s base, completely turning the game around in just 60 seconds and taking a one-win lead in the best-of-three series.

Unfortunately for Afreeca, this was their only comeback in the series. KINGZONE, with Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan substituting for Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, dominated the next two games. Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong showcased exceptional plays as Taliyah in the mid lane, allowing KINGZONE to control the entire map.

Bdd played a pivotal role in KINGZONE’s victories in games two and three, utilizing Taliyah’s Threaded Volley skill in teamfights and strategically placing Weaver’s Walls to secure objectives.

KINGZONE will return to the LCK stage on Feb. 28, where they will face MVP, the ninth-place team in the LCK.
