KINGZONE Claims MSI Semifinal Spot with Revenge Victory against Fnatic

Heading into the Final Day of the 2018 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational Group Stage

As the 2018 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational group stage is coming to a close, only one slot for the knockout stage is still up for grabs. KINGZONE DragonX from the LCK has secured their spot by defeating Fnatic.

Fantastic News for North American Fans

For North American fans, this is great news because Fnatic now has the same number of losses as Liquid. This means that Liquid has a chance to qualify for the next stage. Unfortunately for fans of the LPL or EU LCS, Royal Never Give Up and Fnatic are getting closer to being knocked out as well.

KINGZONE’s Shaky MSI Run

KINGZONE’s performance in the MSI has been worrisome. They were considered favorites to win the tournament but have shown weaknesses. They made changes to their roster by benching their starting jungler, Peanut, and not relying on their top laners as heavily as expected.

KINGZONE Qualifies for Semifinals

Despite their struggles, KINGZONE managed to qualify for the semifinals ahead of most teams in the tournament. This is not good news for any team that will face them in the next stage.

KINGZONE Dominates Fnatic

In their match against Fnatic, KINGZONE showcased a strong performance. Their sub jungler, Cuzz, played a comfortable pick, Camille. Khan also had success with Gangplank in the top lane. Despite early setbacks, KINGZONE quickly identified their win condition and decisively crushed Fnatic.

Not only has KINGZONE qualified for the knockout stage, but they also have a chance to surpass the previously undefeated Flash Wolves for the first seed, as Flash Wolves now have a couple of losses. Their match against each other will take place later today.
