League of Legends Legend Khan to Retire After 8 Years
One of the greatest League of Legends players in history, Khan, has announced his retirement. The LCK’s DWG KIA revealed on their official Instagram that Khan’s retirement ceremony will take place at the 2021 Seoul Mobility Show on December 4. Fans can attend the event by purchasing tickets to the Mobility Show on the official website.
Khan’s retirement marks the end of an illustrious career spanning over eight years and multiple teams. Throughout the region, he has consistently demonstrated his skills as a top-tier player, having played for organizations such as Longzhu Gaming, SK Telecom T1, FunPlus Phoenix, and DWG KIA.
Despite his recent run with DWG KIA at the 2021 World Championship, where they were favored to win, Khan fell short of claiming the Summoner’s Cup. The team was defeated by EDward Gaming from the LPL in the finals, leaving fans shocked and disappointed.
At 25 years old, Khan now faces Korean military service, which is mandatory for men aged 18 to 28. Many fans and analysts consider him one of the best players to have never won an international tournament, as he placed second at Worlds 2021, MSI 2021, and MSI 2018.
