Keane Takes the Starting Spot for FlyQuest Amid Visa Delays

FlyQuest Mid Laner Fly to Miss Opening Week of NA LCS Due to Visa Issues

FlyQuest fans will have to wait a little longer to see Song “Fly” Yong-jun make his debut in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) in North America.

Two days before the start of the 2018 season, FlyQuest announced that Fly will not be able to play in the opening week due to visa complications. Instead, the team will field their academy team mid laner, Jang “Keane” Lae-young.

FlyQuest Recruits Keane as Temporary Replacement

Keane, a veteran of the NA LCS who previously played for Team Dignitas, will step in to fill Fly’s shoes. Keane has been part of three different NA LCS teams over the past three years and brings a wealth of experience to the table.

According to FlyQuest, Fly’s new visa will be delayed by up to two weeks due to additional evidence requested during the renewal process.

Pekin Woof to Fill in for Keane

To cover Keane’s absence from the academy team, FlyQuest has recruited Isaac “Pekin Woof” Marconis from the former Big God Jackals as a temporary replacement. Pekin Woof will make his FlyQuest academy debut against OpTic Gaming Academy on Jan. 25.

Meanwhile, Keane will join Jason “WildTurtle” Tran and the rest of the team for FlyQuest’s season opener against Echo Fox on Jan. 20.

Stay tuned for further updates on Fly’s visa situation and when he will be able to make his LCS debut.
