Riot Games Releases Lore Updates for Kayle, Morgana, Galio, and Shyvana
Riot Games dropped Patch 9.5 on Wednesday, along with two new short stories and an epic poem for Kayle and Morgana. The goal of these releases was to bring Demacian champions closer together after the reworks of the twin sisters.
Kayle and Morgana received a new 14-part epic poem, which tells the story of the sisters during a time of war and how they became important figures in the region’s folklore. Additionally, each sister received their own short story, focusing on minor characters as they listen to myths and legends surrounding Kayle and Morgana.
Shyvana and Galio also received updates to their lore, aligning them better with the story of Demacia.
Riot Games’ plans for frequent lore updates were outlined in their 2018 Narrative Recap. The aim is to bring the stories of all 143 champions in League of Legends closer together by creating new stories and updating outdated ones.
The reworks for Kayle and Morgana will be available on live servers with the launch of Patch 9.5.
