Karmine Corp Rumored to Join LEC in Potential Astralis Sale
There are rumors circulating that Karmine Corp could potentially join the LEC next year. The organization is reportedly in talks to acquire Astralis’ LEC spot, although nothing has been confirmed yet, according to reports by Brieuc Seeger. There has also been mention of an alternative deal where Karmine Corp would loan Astralis’ spot through Riot Games.
Financial Constraints
Karmine Corp is unable to outright purchase the slot from Astralis due to financial constraints. Despite experiencing significant growth and popularity within the League community, the organization does not have enough funds. Additionally, both team owners have not sold any shares in the organization as of now.
Potential Roster
If Karmine Corp successfully acquires an LEC slot, they are reportedly planning to field a starting roster consisting of Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet in the top lane, Lucas “Saken” Fayard in the mid lane, and former Team Liquid AD carry Steven “Hans sama” Liv. The organization will also be holding tryouts for their LFL team, which will continue to compete regardless of their entry into the LEC.
Players Trying Out
The following players are allegedly trying out for Karmine Corp’s LFL roster:
- Top: Melonik, Wao
- Jungle: Zanzarah, Akabane, Isma, Lurox
- Mid lane: Eika, Febiven, Decay
- AD Carry: Jezu, Supa, Takeset
- Support: Hantera, Twiizt, Stend
Final Thoughts
Karmine Corp has limited time to finalize a deal with Astralis before the start of the 2022 offseason. If they want to compete in the largest European league, they will need to find a solution soon.
