Jojopyun pledges significant improvement for EG following disappointing start – anticipate additional trash talk

Evil Geniuses Struggle in 2022 Mid-Season Invitational

Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun, the young star of Evil Geniuses, expressed disappointment in his team’s performance in their debut at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. He admitted that they played “far worse than usual” on the first day of the tournament. However, they are determined to bounce back in their rematch against G2 Esports today.

In an interview with Pentaq.com, Jojopyun was critical of himself, saying that he did not meet his own expectations.

Evil Geniuses had a rough start at MSI 2022, losing to European rivals G2 Esports. Despite the hype surrounding the clash between the LCS and LEC champions, Evil Geniuses struggled to find their rhythm and were caught off guard by G2’s Anivia pick.

According to Jojopyun, G2 played well, but the bigger issue for Evil Geniuses was their own performance. They did not reach the level they have achieved in the LCS.

Jojopyun and bot laner Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki, both rising stars in North America, had little impact on the game, except for some high-damage teamfight moments. However, Jojopyun believes that it’s all part of the learning process.

The loss caused panic among LCS fans, but Jojo remains optimistic. He sees the opportunity to compete against the best teams from other regions as a valuable learning experience. He aims to go as far as possible in the tournament and continue improving with his team.

Evil Geniuses will not let one loss dampen their spirits. Jojopyun, known for his trash-talking, will continue to bring his unique flavor to the games.

The team will have a rematch against G2 Esports at 3am CT, followed by a match against ORDER an hour later.
