Jensen Becomes a Free Agent in League of Legends Following Early Departure from Dignitas

Dignitas Severs Ties with Danish League of Legends Mid Laner Jensen

Dignitas has ended its partnership with Danish League of Legends mid laner Jensen after less than a year. The LCS veteran joined the North American organization in 2022, bringing high expectations to the team.

Despite Dignitas’ reputation for underperformance in the LCS and failing to qualify for the League World Championship, Jensen’s arrival in 2022 gave hope for a turnaround.

Unfortunately, the 2023 competitive season proved to be disappointing for Dignitas. They placed tenth in LCS 2023 Spring, seventh in LCS 2023 Summer, and fifth-sixth in the LCS 2023 Championship.

As they head into the 2024 League season, Dignitas is making changes, starting with the mid lane. According to LEC Wooloo, Jensen has been allowed to leave the team.

Although the organization has not verified this news, Jensen has removed all team information from his social media profiles. If he has indeed left Dignitas, it would be an early termination of his contract, which was supposed to last until the end of the 2024 season.

Furthermore, Jensen is not the only member of the 2023 League roster to leave DIG. Lucas ‘Santorin’ Larsen retired earlier this month to focus on personal endeavors.

Dignitas is currently practicing with changes in the bot lane after a winless start to the LCS season. They are determined to improve their performance.

After a long losing streak, Dignitas finally secured a victory in 2023, breaking their record. The team aims to build on this success.

With Jensen’s departure, the question arises of what his next move in the League world will be. Retirement is unlikely, but he may explore content creation if he doesn’t find a spot on an NA roster for the next season.

Most LCS teams will wait for the conclusion of the 2023 League World Championship in South Korea before making any free-agency moves.
