Jax’s exciting new fishing animation in LoL hints at our anticipation for the Runeterra MMO

New Fishing Animation in League of Legends Leaves Players Excited for Upcoming MMO

League of Legends players everywhere are thrilled by Jax’s new fishing animation, sparking hopes for fishing and a fishing catalog in Riot’s upcoming MMO set in the Runeterra universe.

Jax Gets an Animation in Patch 13.1

Jax received a midscope update in Patch 13.1, which allowed him to go fishing. However, the update lacked an animation. After months of anticipation, Riot has finally rectified this issue. Jax now has a fishing animation where he receives one gold coin for fishing in the river. This unique way of earning gold can be quite helpful when you find yourself bullied out of the lane.

Will Fishing be Available in Riot’s Upcoming MMO?

Jax’s peaceful fishing animation has sparked curiosity about the availability of fishing in Riot’s upcoming MMO based in the Runeterra universe. Fishing, cooking, alchemy, and blacksmithing are common professions in MMOs that provide enjoyment and the opportunity to obtain rare items and additional quests.

Many players are hoping to see fishing and other Runeterra-based professions like Hextech crafting, Chemtech Engineering, and Potion crafting. These professions would allow players to explore various lands, collect different herbs, and either utilize or sell them.

I’d love to see a crafting system similar to the alchemy system in Elder Scrolls where players can combine ingredients. The outcome would either result in the discovery of new herb properties or the creation of a dud potion.

Not much information is currently available about the League MMO other than its setting in Runeterra. However, with Greg Street, a former World of Warcraft designer, at the helm and a team hand-picked by him, fans are hopeful that the game will incorporate many beloved aspects of WoW.

Additionally, players are enthusiastic about the potential inclusion of features from other MMOs and RPGs, such as fishing catalogs from FF14 and the Notorious Mark catalog from FF16.

Although the release of the League MMO is still several years away, there is a strong possibility that the developers will take note of the excitement surrounding Jax’s fishing animation and consider implementing a profession system to enhance their highly anticipated game.
