Is the League of Legends PBE experiencing downtime? Steps to check server status.

League of Legends is regularly updated with new content to keep the game interesting. Before these updates are released, they are tested on the public beta environment (PBE) where players can try them out and give feedback.

However, the PBE server sometimes experiences issues, usually when there are large updates. Riot, the company behind League of Legends, works to quickly fix these issues so that players can continue testing new content and providing feedback.

If you want to know if the PBE server is down for maintenance or check its status, here is some information to help you.

Is the LoL PBE down?

On May 31, Riot Mortdog announced on Twitter that the PBE had been taken down to address some ongoing issues. He mentioned that it might take some time to fix these issues, so there is no specific timeframe for when the PBE will be back online.

This means players will not be able to test the newly announced skins, including additions to the Shan Hai Scrolls skin line and a new Mythic-tier skin. However, it is expected that everything currently available on the PBE for testing will be launched on the official servers as scheduled.

How to check LoL PBE server status

You can visit the official Riot Games service status website to check the status of the PBE server and other Riot Games’ titles in different regions. Scroll down to find the League of Legends icon and select “PBE” as the region.

This will take you to a page where you can view the status of the PBE server, including any error messages and ongoing or extended maintenance periods. You can also see a list of recently resolved issues.
