Invictus Gaming’s Rookie Takes Break from LPL due to Family Health Issues

Invictus Gaming Mid Laner, Rookie, Returns to South Korea Due to Family Health Issue

Invictus Gaming, the reigning world champions of the LPL, have faced another setback in their quest to defend their title. Star mid laner, Song “Rookie” Eul-jin, is heading back to South Korea due to an undisclosed health issue within his family. The team has not provided a timeline for his return, indicating that his absence may be for an extended period. Rookie’s departure is a significant blow to Invictus Gaming, as he has been a core part of the team for a long time and is considered one of the greatest mid laners in history.

Deng “Forge” Jie Steps In as Replacement

To compensate for Rookie’s absence, Invictus Gaming will be bringing in their second substitute, Deng “Forge” Jie. This decision follows the recent benching of support player, Li-Tan “Lucas” Pan-Ao, who was replaced by Wang “Baolan” Liu-Yi. The loss of Rookie is expected to have a significant impact on Invictus Gaming’s performance, as he is widely recognized for his exceptional skills in the mid lane.

Rookie’s Legacy and the Rise of Forge

Rookie made a name for himself when he left Korea to join the Chinese scene during the Great Korean Exodus in 2014. Since then, he has solidified his position as the best mid laner in the region and has been a loyal member of Invictus Gaming since his arrival. On the other hand, not much is known about Forge, previously known as Xin. However, he is listed as the starting mid laner for Invictus Gaming Young in the LSPL, the LPL’s secondary league.
