Introducing Hwei, the Artistic Mid Lane Artillery Mage of League of Legends

League of Legends: Meet Hwei, the Visionary

Get ready for the final champion release of the year in League of Legends: Hwei, the Visionary. This champion is based in Ionia and uses their artistic gift to bring justice to criminals and comfort to their victims. Hwei’s journey also involves an inevitable confrontation with Jhin, who had a profound impact on his artistic mind.

Hwei is a flexible artillery mage and the 166th addition to the League roster. He has a total of 10 unique abilities across his kit, thanks to three special spellbooks. These spellbooks grant him destructive damage, soothing shields and heals, and oppressive crowd control. Mastering the combinations of these abilities is crucial for playing Hwei effectively.

By combining different basic ability keys, players can unleash unique spells. For example, Hwei’s Q spellbook, titled Subject: Disaster, offers various damage-dealing abilities. QQ launches a fireball skillshot, QW brings down a long-range lightning strike, and QE opens up a lava path that slows and damages enemies.

On the other hand, Hwei’s W, titled Subject: Serenity, provides utility for both himself and his teammates. It offers a movement speed boost, a group shield, and a mana boost with bonus magic damage. Lastly, his E, titled Subject: Torment, brings three forms of crowd control to lock down enemies.

Players must be strategic in choosing which spells to use and cannot spam them mindlessly. Mechanical skill and calmness are required to maximize Hwei’s efficiency in battle. This involves weaving different spell combinations together, launching attacks, setting up crowd control, and providing utility to teammates.
