In the 2023 preseason, an overhaul awaits one of the least favored items in League of Legends

Riot Games to Rework Navori Quickblades for 2023 League of Legends Preseason

Riot Games has announced plans to revamp Navori Quickblades in time for the 2023 League of Legends preseason. The item will maintain its current stats but will receive a powerful new passive ability called “Impermanence.” This passive grants a maximum damage bonus of 20% based on Critical Strike Chance.

Improved Passive Makes Navori Quickblades Ideal for Crit Builds

With the addition of this new passive, Navori Quickblades could become the ultimate end-game item for champions using crit builds. For example, a bot laner like Kai’Sa could purchase Kraken Slayer and The Collector before getting Navori Quickblades. This would allow her to reach the required 60% critical strike chance and benefit from the item’s passives, including the cooldown reduction effect of Transcendence. Thanks to the new passive, she would also receive a damage boost.

Boosting Popularity and Impact in the 2023 Season

The introduction of the powerful new passive is expected to improve the popularity of Navori Quickblades, which has been quite low in the current season. In fact, it has been the least popular item in high-level ranked games, with an average pick rate of only 0.2%, according to League of Graphs. However, the popularity of the item in the 2023 season will also depend on the relative strength of critical chance compared to other damage stats, such as Lethality. Therefore, it is still too early to determine if Navori Quickblades will have a significant impact in the larger context of the game.
