Impact on his departure from Cloud9: “I don’t really miss it… their gameplay is somewhat questionable”

Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong Criticizes Former Team Cloud9

Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong, who recently joined Team Liquid, didn’t hold back when expressing his thoughts on his former team, Cloud9, in an interview with INVENGlobal.

According to Impact, he doesn’t miss Cloud9 much because he believes they make some questionable decisions.

Cloud9’s Laning Phase Dominance and Lack of Punishment

Impact acknowledged that Cloud9 is not completely foolish since they tend to perform better on-stage than during practice matches. He credits their strong laning phases as their biggest advantage and believes they have the potential to snowball victories.

However, Impact compared the current Cloud9 to their 2017 form, where they often struggled in the laning phase and had to rely on strategic play and team fights to make a comeback. He also pointed out that Cloud9’s success is largely due to other NA LCS teams failing to capitalize on their mistakes.

Harsh Criticisms of Licorice and Svenskeren

Impact didn’t shy away from criticizing his replacement, Licorice, calling him “very aggressive, but impulsive.” He also expressed doubts about the new jungler, Svenskeren, implying that he might not be the best fit for Cloud9.

Despite these criticisms, Impact still believes in the abilities of Nicolaj Jensen, Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, and Andy “Smoothie” Ta, whom he considers to be talented players.

Team Liquid vs. Cloud9 Battle

Team Liquid, including Impact, will face Cloud9 on Saturday at 6pm ET. Impact appears confident that his former team will not pose much of a challenge.
